My iPhoneography Career Is Well On Its Way
I needed a mount for my iPhone to fit on a tripod so I designed one in Solidworks and printed it on our 3D printer at work. Works like a charm. Whatever that means. This is a look inside the mind of Jesse. It's a scary place.
At frist... total confusion. What ever will I do? I don't want to pay for a mount for my phone...
And then it comes. My big creative break. While watching glee, Solidworks opens. Ideas are coming almost faster than I can draw them up!
I create a model.
I look it over with the unquenching thirst of perfection.
With my design flawless, I bring it to the big wigs. The high ups. This is my shot. My dream coming to fruition.
Hook, line and sinker. Slam dunk. Production begins.
TO THE LAB!
It grows. It's ALLLIIVVVEEEE!
Like unwrapping a Christmas present. Cradled in womb of support material my part is born.
Sparkly clean in it's birthday suit.
Tapped steel inserts bonded in place and we have success.
Ok... I exaggerated. I drew it in 15 mins and hit file>save as STL and handed it to my coworker and he printed it.
